Problem

Most ergonomic furniture websites are similar and not optimized for target visitors and future customers. The essence of the task was to create a web page, that would be built with ergonomic furniture users in mind. or someone who's in need of it.

Solution

My goal was to emphasize the company's identity through design, particularly in the user-friendly Pre-order process. I maintained a minimalist design approach to prevent overwhelming users with excessive interactive elements all at once.

Overview

My role in this project was to lead the dedicated IOS app UI/UX re-design. Come up with different design ideas, and high-fidelity prototypes, account for accessibility and iterate on designs. keep the client updated on each step for the project's best outcome.

Methodology

I followed the User-Centered Design process to find out how users would want to pre-order an ergonomic desk with multiple possibilities of customization options. I brainstormed and went through different UX design iterations. I then tested my ideas via usability tests and developed a high-fidelity interactive prototype based on my findings.

Research

I conducted affinity mapping to synthesize the problems that needed to be solved and the tasks that needed to be accomplished from the user's point of view as well as the company's. taking both parties into consideration from a design standpoint.

During the research phase, My aim was to concentrate on what were the problems and pain points of the individuals who were in need of ergonomic desks, mainly individuals based in the company's target market country for the most accurate feedback.

One of the ways of accomplishing a given task was by interviewing people that get to work remotely or/and from home. and after doing so, I got to know what the potential visitor's needs and pain points were, which could be translated into insightful data.

Key Insights

A good interface does not have to be explained. if the user has to take time to navigate through the interface then there is room for improvement.

The journey to accomplishing a task should be self-explanatory and must include visual hints for the users to have a far more comfortable journey.

The typography must match the brand identity, be versatile, and have a diverse font family for a variety of choices in terms of hierarchy.

Color palettes should form the visual foundation of the brand, help maintain consistency, and make the user interface aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable to use.

Information Architecture

Before diving deep into specific designs, I enhanced the current information architecture to help my stakeholders visualize the main screens and features. I decided to categorize pages and make them into easier digestible pieces: home, product, company, contact, etc.

Design, Test, Iterate

Once I knew how screens would look, I divided them into several sections. once they were in a stable state I started bringing them into low-fidelity wireframes. Here are some initial sketches and wireframes:

Never trust your first design, I had to brainstorm for days to choose the right design pattern. If I were to settle for the first idea, that design would never come to life. or work out, which would mean, I'd have to start over from scratch.

It might take time, but you must trust the process and the journey, This was my first ever professional project which I'm really proud of. and I'd like to thank you for taking the time to see my thought process, iterations, and concepts.
